Unhappy The beeping noise

How do I stop the BEEPING in my 2015 Laredo? I’ve pulled the the batteries completely out 9v. Beeping continues? so I’ve removed the detectors all together and put them outside. Why and what is still beeping???? Help please

Your gas detector (propane) will beep if your camper's battery is low.

It will also beep if it is aged out, I had to replace the one in the Cougar after 5 years.

The gas detector will beep at the end of it’s life. On the unit should be a manufacture date and a lifespan (5-7 years typically).

I’m plugged into power. I guess I should have started here , I just got the unit from a private party and plugged it in Right away I noticed. The water heater wasn’t working I had no propane at this time but thought it should work without. So I got my tank filled hooked it up still no hot water I did check fuse box and had a bad fuse chandelier fuse still cold water I was messing with switches inside labeled water heater electric and another gas wasn’t sure which direction was on or of there was no indication. I went outside to water heater and immediately I hear the burner blowing and sure enough it was heating off the gas. I went back inside I noticed the fuse had blown again I got a tester at this point checked the electric element on the heater ias soon as I unhooked the t2 wires to the element i no sooner checked it and the beeping started?? So I left the wires off it was still heating off gas but beeping. Couple days later I changed the element out and cleaned tank out plugged the unit back into power and it was running /getting hot water from the electric now not gas but the beeping continued. And still beeping as we speak

The beeping and the water heater are not related. PERIOD. As stated previously, check the LP leak detector for experiation.

Your RV is a 2015 and the LP detector has reached EOL as others have stated... It is HARD WIRED to the battery BUS bar

Ok so this detector where is it typically located? My hearing is not the greatest but it seems to be a louder beep at times like separate units it moves around the sound as if there’s more than one ?? Is there more than one? As I stated I’ve removed the smoke detectors I’m guessing that were on the ceilings and VISIBLE I CAN HEAR THE BEEP BUT CANT LOCATE IT

Most of the time they are near the kitchen and low to the floor... may also be blinking

LP leak detectors are typically abouy 4"-6" above the floor. Mine is located near the stove, towards where the water heater is located. Look around down next to the floor.

Don't know the layout of your trailer but my last 2 have been on the island toward the dinette about 4-6" off the floor. Sounds like it's time to replace yours. Look for a little black (or white) box "down there".

You're looking for a black (or white) plastic box about 3"x6" that is mounted to the base of a cabinet near the stove/oven. It will be mounted about 12" off the floor. It will look similar to this photo. It is hardwired to the power center 12VDC buss bar, there is no internal battery in the LPG Detector.

There is a "safety program" built into the detector. It will "beep" every 30 seconds when it nears the end of life condition. It can be "reset by pushing the mute button "ONE TIME" and it will not beep for the next 72 hours. After that, it will constantly beep until replaced and the mute button will not silence it.

I’ve found it ! Unreal it’s been covered by a tool box !!!! I would like to thank everyone for your input and patience, I’ll admit I was skeptical about joining and asking for help afraid of hecklers and what not but how I was wrong. Truly a great place and people with tons of knowledge and very respectable. Being a superintendent of construction for 25 yrs plus it was my job to have all the answers. If not find the answer! I should have done this a week ago I’m a little proud stubborn at times but another night of the BEEPING WAS NOT GONNA BE HEALTHY PUTTING IT NICELY!! 😁thanks again to all. ONE LAST QUESTION time to get this thing replaced Are they readily available? Do they have to be ordered? Truly a great group!!

I pulled it out and using the numbers looked it up on the internet... I think mine was maybe $25 and took a couple of day UPS...

Be careful cutting the wires... they're too short to begin with and will suck back in the cabinet where it is difficult to fish them back out...

Experience talking here... trust me
