From what I have seen each brand or model has different limits and it looks like you get what you pay for. More $$$$ pumps farther and more lift. I have been considering one for years but haven't sprung for the bucks yet.

I use the Sanicon Tank Buddy portable. I've pumpted 30ft in my driveway to the sewer clean out. This is not up hill, but the they say it will pump 20ft uphill!

Macerators

I actually use ours with over 100' of hose, pretty flat, into the downstairs toilet in our house. Works great, don't have to worry about stopping on the way home anymore after long days of driving home.

I have a Flo-Jet brand, and have pumped through 150ft of 3/4" garden hose slightly uphill to a sewer(i would guess about 5 degree incline). It pumped out my black tank(about 35 gallons when i dumped) in just under 4 minutes. I love this thing. The only problem i had with it was when it sucked up a kitchen wipe and i had to "unclog" it(naaaaasty), but it didn't hurt the pump, just hurt my smeller.LOL. You can get one for around $200. I got mine from Tweety's rv on-line a few months ago.
