New to me fuzion 302

Hi everyone, just bought home our 2008 fuzion 302 fifth wheel, and really excited to have this much Space and storage coming from a 19’ bumper pull.

Tow with a 2019 Ford 250 diesel, four wheel drive, xlt, four door, long bed.

We are mostly “primitive” campers and most of our camping trips are to the lake, with a few mountain and desert trips mixed in.

This is our first fifth wheel, and towing the unit home I have to admit I felt my view was blocked even with the mirrors extended, and I am used to 40’ gooseneck equipment trailers.

Thanks!

That's exactly the reason the manufacturer shouldn't post the max tow weights for their trucks as that's the type of trailer they're using to come up with those weights. There is a difference towing RVs!
Welcome aboard & enjoy the 5th wheel experience.

OK, I am not a great truck driver; in fact, just marginal. I invested in a wired rear observation camera and crawled under my camper and pulled coax up to the rear marker lamps and now I can see what is behind me. Tow mirrors are just OK; especially the driver mirror but the passenger mirror is semi-useless to a person with my lack of skills and the rear observation camera keeps me aware of tailgaters and helpful when backing up.
