Cougar 22RBS shower drain
Hi. Hoping for some feedback and advice. I have a 2019 Cougar 22RBS which we love. However, I have developed a leaking shower drain. In exploring, I found that the P trap does not line up exactly with the drain in the shower. It appears they tried to cement a piece on a slight angle to get the fitting to align with the drain threads. However, with the amount of flex in the shower floor and the tension the fitting created, the fitting cracked. Because we have been dress-rehearsing for full-time living, we are using the shower more often than for just occasional camping and revealed this problem more quickly.
I have added support underneath to keep the floor from flexing and attempted a new PVC hook-up, liberally lathered with silicone sealant. The problem seemed to stop buy started again last week. I believe I need another method of connecting the drain to the drain piping. My neighbor recommends I go for a flexible hosing and suggested going to a boat dealer to find it.
I agree that a flexible hose may be the best answer, but would appreciate any other ideas. I have access to the trap through an access panel on the front of the pan, but limited space to maneuver. I believe I will have to approach it from underneath to get a final solution applied.
Thanks for your contributions in advance
