Hi all,

Happy to be a part of this forum community. My name is Jeff and I have a 2019 Keystone Hideout 295BHS Fifth Wheel Trailer and I tow it with a 2019 Ram 2500 Mega Cab 4x4.

I am looking forward to connecting with some of you and asking some questions about our new rig. We have been RV owners for almost 12 years now, but all with travel trailers. This is our first fifth wheel, so still learning the differences between it and our old travel trailers.

Thanks all!

Hello Jeff and welcome to the forum!

Sounds like you have a great fiver and TT combo, and should you have any questions, ask away--there are many knowledgeable folks here who are ready to help!

IMHO, a fiver tows much better, although different, that a TT. To hone your skills, find an large empty parking lot to practice making turns and backing up. The pivot point is now over the rear axle, probably four feet forward from the receiver hitch, and will make a difference in turns and backing up.

Stay safe,

Gary

Welcome aboard! Our first trailer was a TT. Moved to a 5th wheel 25 years ago and never looked back (figuratively speaking). I highly prefer to tow a 5er. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours.
