2012 Keystone Outback flood lights?

Hello I have 2012 Keystone Outback that has 2 large round lights, 1 on each side about half way down the trailer up high like a security light. These lights are not working. Are these lights ac or dc? Is the switch inside the main door to the left up high where the other light switches are? Any info appreciated.

Someone may know differently but I've never seen those kinds of lights from the factory. I have seen them several times as something an owner added. You should be able to tell by looking if they are OE or added. Depending on how it was done and what was used it could be either 120vac or 12vdc. Open the light and look at the bulb then you will know. A pic would help as well.

Danny, my ol' Cougar 5ver has two round lights on the passenger side up high and they are about 6 or 7 inch diameter and the switch is next to the entry light next to the door. The switches are on the main light switch panel just as you come into the camper and each of the two round white lights are on a separate switch as is the entry light. That is also where we have the cabin light switch.

Here is a pic of our camper showing the two white round lights. One is on the front above the bedroom and the other is on the back of the trailer up high. Handy for taking the dogs out for a night time trip. These lights are 12V and on my trailer are incandescent bulbs... I think the bulbs are similar to auto 1156 type as I recall.

Yep, my bad - I've seen lots of those. I guess my head was thinking of some I've seen with swivel lamps attached about halfway up the back for flood light purposes I suppose. Sorry OP.

We have them. They are called "security light" on our panel. We head them on our 2013 couger also. You should grave a switch labeled as such. Could be the bulbs are burned out. I put LEDs in ours.

They have been referred to as "scare lights" on some web sites.

George, looking at the picture of your camper I thought the right rear stabilizer was up a bit. Sorta looked like a dog lifting it's hind leg.

After zooming in what I thought was a shadow under the stabilizer I think is an oil spot.

It was entertaining though, at least in my Child like mind. LOL

Standard equipment on Montana. They are the 'security' lights.

You can replace the bulbs with LED to save battery if you boondock.
