It took us about 10 days of attempts on the MI DNR site to secure 15 days in July at Grand Haven SP. I'll gladly pay the $18 dollars to change the reservation as everyone else who's in competition does the same. It only took us 2 days to secure Ludington SP in late June. Platte River had dates open in early June so no need to play the 9am daily "quick draw" game.

If we weren't working around the race date, I wouldn't particularly mind when we got reservations.
So tell me more about the "change the reservation" game. At this point $18 is irrelevant.

I got a week at Hoffmaster SP and a week at Wilderness SP. Could not get in at Platte River. My thinking now is to go around the top and down through Wisconsin. Probably stop at a private CG somewhere around Green Bay that has a laundry. Then maybe a COE CG on the Mississippi. Follow the river south and get home when we get home.
