adding cupboard shelf in montana hc

need some ideas installing a shelf in montana high country 310 re. cupboards lots of wasted space .

Wire shelving works well also. Turning it upside-down helps keep stuff from sliding off or against the door.

+1! Super stuff for mods in RVs and storage problems around the house.

Closet Maid is the brand name best known and widely available at any home improvement store.

Also, places like Ikea and others sell wire frame "shelf doublers". Basically, they're a wire frame similar to Closet Maid, but they have legs. You put one on a shelf, and you've basically doubled the storage space. We have a bunch of them in the Cougar's galley cupboards. We've seen them in both plastic-coated white and some shiny metal, usually stainless steel. If you are worried about them sliding around, a couple of small plastic cable clamps will secure them to the wall of the cabinet.

Here's a pic of one of the shelves in our last unit. It had a large pantry with a lot of space between the wooden shelves. We added some "shelf doublers" that we found at Target. Then we used regular plastic dishpans as a sort of drawer. It was great for containing canned goods, or other food items. Also notice that we used the plastic shoe storage boxes for other items. It worked out very well and we used that system for 11 years until we traded the trailer for our Cougar.
