New Ford F250
We broke down and purchased a new F250 today. We purchased a Passport 2510rb this spring. We have been pulling it with a F150 and while I can say that I never had any white knuckle experiences. I knew that I was pushing the limits on the F150. I wasn't willing to load the family (grandchild) and take off on a long vacation. The ratings for the F250 are very reassuring. Now I am looking forward to hooking up to the camper and heading out. I feel like I am going to enjoy the drive almost as much as the camping. Having trouble attaching a picture. I will try to add one later.

You'll be happy for sure. Good truck and a good match for your TT.

Congrats. We towed the 31bhpr for a year with the F150 and same as you, knew we were pushing the limits. When we upgraded to a 350, it was great and yes I enjoy towing as much as the camping. It is fun running down the highway.

Before we purchased our fiver, we towed our Passport with an F250. Didn't even know it was back there!

Ahhhh I hate you guys.... I was hoping you were going to say there was no difference and it was a big waste of money (wishfully thinking ) as I got in to a bullet premiere 31bhpr and am towing with a gmc 1500 crew cab. I had the same thoughts about having the entire family and 2 dogs in the truck and what could happen . Looks like a 2500 or 3500 coming my way before the season starts for us. Don't tell the wife but I have been looking for a good reason to go diesel ( shhhhhhhhhh ). Good luck with the new truck and get us some details or pics.

@ OP- congrats! You've done what many of us wish but only some of you can.
I hope she treats you well for many seasons.

I purchased a 31sqb and was towing it a f150. I added airbags and purchased a Propride hitch. I towed from kentucky to disney world and back. It never felt out of control and towed it pretty well. Burning up brakes was a big issue. I decided to upgrade to a f250. It's amazing how much more stable it is towing. Now I don't feel any bouncing and braking is so much smoother.
The payload on my f150 was 1050 pds before I added the bed liner and cover. It seems the half ton for the most part are just glorified cars. You really have to special order the half ton to get enough payload to tow something.
Enjoying the truck.
