Cold Bedroom

Since we bought our trailer new we have complained about the bedroom always been cold and were told that's how it is, so this week I decided to insulate the floor between the pass thru and the bath/bedroom then I realised that the area above the front storage area which is open to the outside air has no insulation, further to that the bedroom slide out again has no insulation. I added foil insulation to all the areas and can say that the difference is huge no more cold floor in the morning

Good mods and if it makes you warmer, that is great. We are not out in too much cold weather, 2-3 trips a year early spring/late fall that we run heat. We keep it cool at night so would not notice a cold floor plus the wife is all bundled up anyway, lol. Good luck.

Sorry I didn't take pictures but the process is very straight forward, I used 2 16 inch by 25 foot and 1 24 inch by 10 foot rolls of R6 foil insulation from Home Depot, cut to width and stapled to the underside of the floor inside the pass thru, you will need foil tape to secure around the heating vent. As for the front compartment I used the 24 inch cut to width and you will be able to slide it forward over the 2 by 2 cross member and forward about 5 inches I did 2 layers in this area as it is open to the outside air also make sure that you insulate the are above the propane tanks. As for the bedroom you have to remove the mattress and the plywood, the area of the slide will have no insulation but you can insulate most of it but you need to trim in order to clear the slide out rails.

Hope that helps
