Misting the roof

I have seen 2 of the RVs here at the park in Monahans, Tx. with a misting setup on the roof. It sprays a mist over the roof to cool it during the hot summer, the owners say it uses about 5 gallons a day. The misters are like patio misters sold at Lowe's and other stores, the just buy about 4 or 5 of them to cover the whole roof. They say it keeps the inside cooler by about 15 degrees. Was wondering if anyone has had any problems with doing this to the roof?--Smitty

Can't imagine it causing a problem. you might let things dry out occasionally to keep mildew away.
Drop the temp a bit and raise the humidity and you'll feel like you're in Houston.

After retirement I worked Eagleford pretty hard. Stayed in Embassy Suites in Laredo. Putting in 12-14 hours for 6 days a week, plus the 1 hour drive, I appreciated the hotel restaurant, room service, and bar.
If you could put a timer on those sprinklers you would have a cool trailer after work.
