Russ -
On the specs for a new Fuzion Toy Hauler, it shows a 12 gallon gas/electric HW heater.
Almost all HW heaters will run on both propane and 110v AC. Have you tried running it on both or have you just operated the HW tank on electric?

There should be a switch either on the inside of the Fuzion or by the tank itself where you can select either gas or electric. If there is only one switch (for gas) then the switch for electricity can be found on the outside. Open up the exterior door to the HW tank and look near the bottom left-hand corner. There should be a small, black rocker switch there. This is for 110v operation.

Not sure why you would want to "modify" the tank since it will run on both already. ?????

You should have a gas/electric DSI water heater already installed. Open the outside cover of your water heater, look in the lower left hand corner, under the gas burner tubing and you should see a small black or dark gray switch. That is the electric switch to control the heating element. Also, look at your circuit breaker panel and you should find a circuit breaker marked "HWH" or "WTR HTR" or something similar. Make sure that circuit breaker is turned on as well.

If your water heater is gas only ... Yes you can add a "Hott Rod" element that replaces your anode rod and heats electrically. But as others have mentioned, I have not seen a gas only WH used on Keystones. When you do find the little black switch you will have to remove a safety pin from it to turn it on unless the pin was removed by the dealer.

Thanks for the info, spoke with Keystone, and he was very helpful in verifying that I did in fact have a electric/propane model. I'm thinking I will be needing a replacement element as the one i have is probably burnt out. I wasn't aware of the proper operating features of theswitch in the water heater area vs. the one in the batroom. I do now, live and learn. fortuanatly they are not to expensive for the element.

FYI ... If the switch on the heater was off the circuit breaker or wall switch could not turn it on. You may not need an element.
