Sliding Dinette Seat Cushions

Our dinette seat cushions were always sliding around. I figured out a simple fix. I stapled heavy duty rubber shelf liner to the plywood panel under the cushions. It works well, no more sliding around!

Staples! Brilliant! I'd thought of that grippy foam, but couldn't think of an easy way to keep it planted. It bugs me that my cushions seem to get squeezed out from under the back rests. Time for a trip to my local DIY store.

By the way, are the bottoms/backs of your cushions vinyl, too?

I'll have to do that one also. The last time I had o deal with sliding cushion, I sewed velcro to the cushion fabric and used the sticky stuff on the other part. It was a PITA. I have rolls of that shelf stuff laying around.

Yes they are and the vinyl helps stick to the foam better.

This is a great idea. I've seen loose chair cushions for dining room chairs at home that have non-sliip backings and they work well. What about tacking the non-slip matting to the backs of the RV cushions by sewing them or with velcro?

What a great idea. I have gotten use to pushing the seats back inplace before sitting down. I think on every RV I have had.
