RV friendly gas stations

Are there any websites out there that might have a list of RV friendly gas stations listed by state? Seems like this would be a nice resource. If not, I'm sure I share the struggle of many RVers who don't pull with diesel engine trucks and can't just swoop through the commercial diesel truck lanes. Of course, many toy haulers have gasoline tanks for the toys/generators and still require fill up somehow/someway.

Thanks,

Jon

FLYINGJ is about the most rv friendly stations you will find. Even though they are a truck stop, they have designated rv lanes for gas, diesel and propane. Most have dump stations also.

There is a book called The Next Exit. It lists which exits have RV friendly stations. Not perfect, but a help.

For Interstate travel, as Hank suggested Flying J (Pilot) and some of the other larger chain Travel Plazas are typically
RV friendly & offer more than just diesel. Places like "Travel Centers of America", "Petro", or "RIP Griffins".

There's another book called: "The RVer's Friend", which also includes info for 'services available'.

Truck Stops & Travel Plazas www.truckstops.com

For secondary roads & more rural areas/towns, we've found that Chevron stations (among others) usually have the higher canopy
on the drive, but trailer length would also need to be considered. If you use a GPS, or phone, you can search for these ahead of time.

Get yourself a Pacific Pride / CFN card. Pretty sure they're nationwide and/or are affiliated with most Card Lock vendors.
They are almost always located right next to the freeway. Huge lots w/easy access and usually around 10cents cheaper per gallon than the chain gas stations

Google Earth it

On my more recent trips, I've begun searching gas stations on the net in the target area, then doing a visual on them using Google Earth software (3D satellite software which you can download for free). I want to see what the actual gas station looks like, and the approach and exit to the station so I can make an educated guess whether I'll be able to get a 34' travel trailer in there, gas up, then leave. I've been able to find a couple of Diamond Shamrock and Valero stations that had large areas to pull in. This might be more trouble than some people want to go to, but I must say, it has been hugely successful for me and given me one less thing to stress about while I'm traveling. I just never 'hit the road' without knowing my route, where things are located, and especially what it all looks like.

This is what we do. We had to show proof of commercial use. Ours was filing a farm tax return with IRS. They have gas as well as diesel. The one in our town even has non-ethanol fuel which is good for our ATV, tractor, and vintage motorcycle

Love's gas stations are good for RV's as well.
