Received my TireMinder TPMS - i10 - 4 kit yesterday. This morning I found a local tire shop that does RV TT tires and wheels. Have an appointment with them tomorrow morning to install metal stems.

I'm thinking new steel valve stems for all four wheels. Then it will be time to set up the new TPMS system.

I agree, discount Tire is great. I have used them for years. I wish they carried Sailun trailer tires.

I have been running an i10 for a couple seasons. I like mine. I did have to use the repeater though.

Told them I couldn't see any of the numbers unless I went into a totally dark room. They said Amazon has a shade kit. I installed the sensors and mounted the monitor using their suction cup mount. Turned it on this morning as we left the campground. Going down the road I could see the tire locations occasionally blinking but I couldn't read any of the numbers. Got settled into a campground and looked on Amazon for the shade and couldn't find it. Obviously getting frustrated. Anyone had similar issues?

I think the issue or reading the TST color monitor is that if you wear glasses that are polarized they don't play nice with the polarized color screen in the TST unit. For a quick check simply take your glasses off and see if you can read the numbers on the TPMS monitor.

Be careful when requesting "steel stems"

1. What you need are "bolt-on metal stems" Some people think the rubber "high pressure" snap-in stems with metal sleeves will work. Not the same thing

2. Minor detail but every metal tire stem I have worked with for over 40 years is brass. Some are Nickle or Chrome plated but still are brass. There is a torque spec for the external nut of 25 - 45 INCH Pounds.

I think you got a bum unit. I can see mine in full sun without shades, partial sun with shades.

I think so too.
I'll wait and see what happens when I get the shade. I expect it'll be the same.

Brent I'm in the bum unit corner as well. I can see mine fine except at certain times of the day. Bought the sun shade "because" but haven't put it on yet. Talk to TST; they have always been very helpful to me.

You may just want to have them swap out the color unit for the black and white if it’s available ...they may even just send you one for free if you ask. It’s not as flashy looking but it seems to do the job without any issues. That’s what I have although it’s eeze tpms brand
