fresh water cap adapter

Has anyone seen an adapter that will screw on to the end of a hose and onto the fresh water tank fill opening? Love my 291RLS, and the docking station being inside the storage compartment, but filling the fresh water tank always makes a wet mess as the hose doesn't like to "stay put". with the docking station on the exterior of the camper I was able to use a 90-degree elbow and the hose would hang in the opening. with the configuration and hole location coming through the floor in the 291, it doesn't like to stay.
Worse case, I'll buy a new cap and make one out of pieces and epoxy.

Thanks

cut the end off an old hose and stick the bare end into the filler tube.

Walmart and all rv supply supply stores will have a specific hose for this but as cavie mentioned cut the end off an old hose.

Dumb question, or asking for a friend, lol. Take your pick. I've got this and am thinking I don't need this filler tube mod because it's all in the switch. Correct?

Yep either fill from city water using the three way valve if you have city water hooked up. Otherwise you pull the little screen off of the tank vent hole and fill it throughout there with a hose adapter and a funnel or something similar.

Be careful with this, I had one that spit the clear hose off into the water tube of the RV. That made for a fun fishing expedition! LOL

I remember thinking to myself "what in the world is this hose for" when it came with a starter pack from the RV dealer. So I used it as my sewer hose clean out. It actually works pretty well for that. Imagine my surprise when I found out what it's really for! So it's clearly marked differently than the new one!!! Lol. Sometimes I'm amazed at my own stupidity!!

Yes I have the same fill. Just select the handle and connect the hose to the female hose tread connection. (Make sure you are not hooked to the black tank flush.)

ll you have to do is attach the water hose to the inlet and turn the valve to "TANK" and it will fill.
Happy camping.
