Considering Bullet 290bhs

Hello,
New member here. We (wife and I) are considering purchasing the Bullet 290bhs. We are upgrading from a pop-up we purchased used along with all its problems hence I don't want to buy used again. Our TV is a Tundra SR5 4x4 5.7ltr with tow package.
Looking forward to making many new memories.

Welcome! That's a nice unit. As I am sure many others will comment on, that trailer will almost certainly be way too much trailer for the Tundra. Tundras are good trucks, but have very little payload, so you will very likely be overloaded the second you hook up to the trailer. Take a look at your yellow sticker on your door and let us know what the payload number is and I am sure someone can help you get a good numbers estimate.

As far as the trailer goes, look for a "PDI checklist" and tale that with you to the dealer when you pick her up and use that to check everything on the rig before you leave the lot. That will help you prevent a lot of heartache with the new trailer.

Post the yellow/white sticker from your driver's door post to confirm, but I'm guessing that rv is too much for your Tundra.
That rv has a GVWR of 7600lbs so the tongue weight of 13% will be 988lbs + 100-125lbs for the WDH that will be required puts that at well over 1000lbs not to mention being nearly 34' long behind a lightweight truck.
The 4x4 Tundra payload will be I'm guessing 1200-1500lbs minus that 1000lbs+ for tongue weight & the weight of everyone/everything in/on that truck that didn't come from the factory = too much trailer for your truck.
That rv is a bunkhouse so I'm guessing that there's a couple younguns going along so their weight & the weight of all the stuff they require for travel also come off that payload.
I'm sure that's not what you asking with your post, but the safety of you & your family is the most important thing when I see/read someone about to hook up to more rv than they can safely handle.
DO NOT let any rv dealer convince you that hauling a rv this size will not be an issue, they just want to sell you something. Also just FYI, anyone spouting rv dry weights or truck max tow weights are giving you totally useless information. Post your truck numbers here & you'll get great advice from lots of knowledgeable folks that have been there done that.
