Smile Back in the saddle - 2020 Cougar 22RBS

I've camped all my life, well growing up.

My wife and I got a great deal (From my dad) on a 30 ft older living model camper when the kids were young. But had to get rid of the cost 7 or 8 years ago to pay for kids' hokey!

Now it's time for us to enjoy a camper together, alone

We decided to go smaller, Cougar 22RBS is enough for us to have the larger bed, chose the dining table instead of the sofa chairs (Need to eat) and we have enough room for everything we need!

Still working on a truck, will be looking come spring time, so any recommendations are appreciated. My wife doesn't want to feel the trailer (nervous nelly) so we may be going extra large.

Looking forward to camping again! It's part of who I am!!

Greetings and welcome to the forum; we are glad to have you aboard!

As far as a truck, I think any of the big 3, 3/4-ton pickups will handle the Cougar just fine. You might want to consider a one-ton model for the extra payload at not much more cost.

You and your DW can look forward to many more great years of camping fun!

Take care!

We have had a chance to pull it with two very different vehicles. A F-250 Turbo Diesel - didn't even know the camper was there (But the truck is a tank) the other was a Nissan Armada could feel the trailer on the intersection bumps, needed a bit of adjustment on the hitch but definitely now as smooth as that truck!!

Will be looking in the larger size for sure!

Thank you for the feedback!
