First time owner here

Just bought our first travel trailer, a 2019 Cougar 34 TSB. We will be spending quite a bit of time in it since we were affected by Hurricanes Laura and Delta. We chose this model because of the 3rd slide in the bunk room and the extra floor space in the living and kitchen area.

The kids are looking forward to sleeping in it for the first time, maybe sometime this week.

Tow vehicle is a little up in the air at this point. My current truck is a 2010 F150 and I'm just not comfortable pulling that much trailer with it. The good news is that I have time to figure it out because it will be parked for quite a while.

I am sure I will be on the site frequently looking for answers and advice.

Welcome to the forum. I'd say that all of us are happy to have you as a new member and we all wish it were under different circumstances. I don't think you'll get much disagreement with your concern about your current tow vehicle. Good luck with your new "temporary home" and feel free to post any questions or comments. We all were/are "new members and new owners" at one time or another....

Welcome aboard !!!

Welcome and sorry to hear about your hurricane woes. Seems like La has been beaten up pretty badly this hurricane season. The camper you bought does overwhelm a 1/2 ton and would be much happier with a one ton as you probably already guessed but the extra length will be appreciated if you are full timing in it with kids. Looks like it has a bedroom with a door for privacy and that will be a big plus. The slides will help make it feel like home! Best of luck and keep your head down for the rest of the hurricane season.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Congrats on the purchase of the new Cougar.

I agree with others here that you should look at a 1-ton pickup to safely tow the Cougar. You won't regret buying it!

Sorry to hear of all the weather woes in the southeast.

Take care!

Welcome and sorry to hear about the set backs but on the other hand, enjoy the TT even more when it can become a true mobile unit... Good luck and God Bless..
