Tow Vehicle Update

I had been towing Passport 2590BH with a Dodge Dakota and contend for trips around 1-2 hrs it worked fine for me.

My oldest son turned 16 this year and he inherited the Dakota. So...of course I had to replace it. I got a 97 Suburban 3/4 ton with a 454. Gas mileage is about 10-12 mpg but it's about the same towing or not. Must say it tows the camper with little to no effort and actually gets a little better gas mileage than the Dak while towing it, not to mention the cavernous cabin for our family of five.

Anyway here's a pic if anyone's interested.

I made it my sig pic temporarily but included it above b/c I plan to change my signature pic when I get a shot of the camper and TV together.

The long wheel-base has always made the Suburban a good TV. Enjoy it and travel safely, Hank

my pop's had one of those when i was a kid, i think an 85 3/4 ton. it was a beast. my brother learned how to drive in it. i remember playing around in the rear of it, it was enormous, well when your 8 it is anyway. i do remember you couldn't kill it. i was perty rough when we sold it a few years ago, and i still see her running around sometimes, i think someone use's it to plow. it was a great truck and served him for years without a problem. started everytime. good luck and enjoy it.
