Hitch storage

Each time we setup at a CG I remove my hitch from the TV (cause I have enough bruises on my legs from hitting this ####### hitch)
I store it in the front compartement of the trailer so it won't grow legs...
But this thing is so full of grease the almost everything near it gets covered with grease.
Where do you guys store your hitch while at the CG?

I wrap mine in an old towel and keep it in either the storage area or the back of the Yukon. I've been putting the bars on the A frame between the battery and the propane tanks.

Ever though of just getting a trailer lock such as the Trimax that locks into the hitch and then using a quality cable and lock to attach it to the trailer frame so you can just store it under the trailer? I doubt it would walk away, typically people don't steel anything that takes that much time/effort.

I used to pull the hitch out of the back of the truck and couple it back to the trailer and put a lock on the latch and then turn the hitch to the side so you don't run into it. Worked great for me.

Mine does not have much grease on it so I will toss it in the front storage, especially between trips. Many trips I just leave it on the truck. If we go out and I forget to lock it, I toss it in the back of the truck.
