AC Unit

So we took the camper out on our maiden voyage a couple of weeks ago. Used the heater one night then the AC the next. As we were laying there the AC would kick on for about 30 seconds then shut off for about 10, then repeat. Finally I shut it off. Whats the deal?

Was the fan and compressor going on and off or just the compressor?

For starters, check the thermostat and make sure that the fan is set to AUTO.

You might also check to make sure none of the air vents are blowing directly on the thermostat. Sounds dumb I know, but we had that issue with our 2650bh.

At night, on ours, we do the opposite. We turn the A/C on with the fan control to low, and we don't hear the compressor cycling. We get the added benefit, at least when we are in a busy area, of the fan noise masking outside sounds.
