We have a Coleman coffee maker, but it usually takes too long to perk a pot of coffee, so I start with boiling water, pour it through the grounds in the top of the Coleman and "VOILA" coffee in just a couple minutes. With the filter in the Coleman, even "toothless cowboys" can enjoy their morning coffee.

John,
I'm not quite there with my coffee but I do still drink loose leaf tea. Some how I just feel that it is not quite the same. Lol!

We use a Melita pour over funnel with a thermos underneath like this:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0080J2N8A/...riskateland-20

They also make smaller sizes and single cup versions .....

No electricity - we heat the water with propane or the campfire - and no waste except the grounds and the paper filter. The thermos keeps the coffee warm at least until lunchtime - if there is any left!

For toast, we usually just throw the bread on the grill. If we are cooking inside, we toast the bread in the frying pan - a little bacon grease on the toast never hurt anybody!

Been following the thread since I'm the lonely coffee drinker here. I've been using one of the GE 5 cup electrics. The one with the little charcoal filter in it. Of course, the top is cracked, one piece now missing, like so many complain of on reviews, but hey it still works. My first one caught on fire, smoke show, maybe I did pour some water into the electronics, not sure, guess I know why they stopped selling them now lol. I hotwired it, it worked until I got another identical to replace it. It makes some awesome coffee. Hey, when you need coffee, you NEED coffee!

I got on Ebay and Amazon recently and started looking for a small under cabinet, $40-$50ish or so. Something to help reclaim some counter space. NOT anymore. Did I miss the train on the under cabinet makers ? Everything I see that's decent looking, is $80-$90 and some up to over $300 . So I thought, well, I'll just buy another little GE like I have, my old coffee buddy, Nope. They have stopped selling them. Arghhhh, why so difficult ? I have to have my morning routine, nothing is allowed to impede that routine!

So in my endeavours, I found a 5 cup Faberware that looks suspiciously like my little black GE, hmmm, could it be? Just rebranded??? Could I be that lucky ? I think at this point, I'm going to go for it. Maybe buy two hmmm lol?

We use a percolator and just bought a 5 cup Mr. Coffee to use when we take longer trips with full hook-up.

We bought the Keurig K10 Mini Plus and leave it in the camper. It is compact, easier to use/clean than a pot, and works like a champ.
