Laredo2910H,
I also got them (as part of the factory build) on my SuperDuty. For most trucks, they are available from the dealerships and a number of aftermarket suppliers. Mine were $180 (installed) from Ford. They were already on the truck when I bought it. On my 2013 SuperDuty, I bought them from an EBay site (Husky I think) for around $85 and installed them myself. To be honest, I couldn't tell much (if any) difference between the factory liners and the Husky liners other than the "Ford" logo molded into the "more expensive ones". I'd suspect that the Husky plant (right outside Detroit) probably has a hand in keeping Ford's inventory stock up to date... LOL
Most people around here either have them or have "rust holes" around the top of the wheel well, usually "just after" the 60 month "corrosion warranty" expires. In Louisiana, I'd have never worried about protecting them, but on salt covered roads, an entirely different situation.

We did get a $80 bed mat from Tractor Supply but will have to cut a huge section out for the B&W Companion 5th wheel hitch. Still trying to decide and running out of $$$$ fast!! Just ordered new wheels and tires for the Montana.

If you can get it sprayed with Line-X, Dura-Liner, etc while it's new (and clean) that's probably an even better choice than wheel well liners. But, if you wait a year or so, they'll probably never be able to get all the "stuff" out of the creases and crevices, so spraying it then will likely "seal the salt" next to the metal. I can relate to your comment about spending $$$$ fast with any major purchase. Whether it's a new trailer or a new tow vehicle, it seems it takes almost as much to "get it ready" as the initial outlay to bring it home. All a part of the game, I suppose..... It's still a nice truck, I'm sure you'll enjoy it for years to come.

About to go into the gorge at Big South Fork National Park. 13% grade and hairpin switchbacks. Actually it was not too bad.

Are your mirrors extended or do they always stick out like that? I ask because I saw a 1500 dodge truck with the mirrors like yours and couldn't tell if he had them out or not. Didn't really look right on a small truck but I guess if he tows it's safer.

I just always leave them out in the towing position. I'm used to driving a Chevy so the upright mirrors just feels more comfortable. Here is a pic of the mirrors in normal position.

We did the Line-X when the truck was new, still looks awesome, best investment for bed lining!

Nice looking Dodge, but they need too go to a Ford or Chevy style mirror so everyone can stop picking on them.

I bought the Towtector aluminum brush system from www.mudflaps.com. Light, removable for less drag when not towing and no rock dents or chips on the front of the trailer.

Kojack:
We have the identical truck; same color and all and have towed our Montana with it from Georgia to California and back to Arizona and I did not know the mirrors would flip up til I saw your picture. I am comfortable with them in the down position but next trip, I will try them up. Thanks. This new truck has so many bells and whistles. I still have a dash light no one seems to know what is for. Anyway, its a great improvement over the old one.

Glad I could help. Now did you ever figure out what that dash light was?

Finally called the FCA customer service number to ask there. They did not know but offered to send the owner's manual, etc. This is a book nearly 2 inches thick and it reveals that the mystery light indicates the failure of trailer brakes. I was towing an older flatbed on which I knew the brakes no longer worked. With the 3500's tow/haul mode and exhaust brake, don't really need trailer brakes. If you don't already have these books, call FCA and they will send them free of charge.
