2016 Keystone Bullet 251RBS Problem

Bought this camper used so don't know alot about it but I have a problem.

I went to unlock the front door of the camper and the lock or handle or something is broke. The handle is stuck halfway out. So I can't open that door.

I can access the back door but cannot enter the front of the camper from that door because the slide being in has the way blocked. I need to get into the front of the camper. The slide mechanism is a cable type slide and as far as I can tell there is no manual way to access the slide from outside the camper.

I'm stuck, any suggestions on how to get to the front door of the camper from inside?

Thanks
Scott

Welcome to the forum

Try pushing the door closed and see if the handle closes flush. Then use the key on the bottom lock, turning it to the right and then back to center.

Should have explained better. I did try and push the door in and I can't move it. The handle is stuck half way out. Also the handle lock does not turn now and with the handle half way out I can't put put a key in the deadbolt.

Can you rotate the deadbolt cylinder as you try to insert the key? The key should go in even in the horizontal position. It should be removed in the vertical position.

With the handle stuck in an open position the key will no longer go into the deadbolt.

Link doesn’t work. There should be 2 separate locks. The one in the handle and another in the frame of the lockset.

The deadbolt is the one on the frame.

Ok link works now. Is there a brand or mark on the key?

FIC. With the handle stuck out you cannot insert the key.

The solution is not going through the front door unless I drill out the whole mess or just tear off the handle. Hoping for a way to get in another way or to let out the slide. Looks like cable type slides can only be manually opened from the inside.

Thanks

You’re right about cable slides. If you have any large window, PM me for more information.
