Hot Water Low Flow
Our hot water had about 1/3 of the cold water flow at every outlet on the RV. The shower was dismal. When in bypass mode the flow was no better or worse. After replacing shower head and controls and reading many posts about hot water low flow problems I concluded that my problem was a KINK in either the hot water line or the cold water line supplying the water heater. I bought an inexpensive endoscope and put it to use tracing the water heater lines. I found a severe KINK in the cold water line supplying the water heater and the cold water line to the shower. The KINK was just below the floor behind the water heater compartment. Carefully measuring where the lines went through the floor, I was able to open a “sun visor” size flap in the coroplast directly below the KINK. The KINK was removed with a tubing cutter and replaced with a “SharkBite” 90° elbow. I am currently leak testing the repair by applying 30 psi compressed air.

Welcome to the forum
Glad to hear you got it fixed. Did you just purchase this trailer new? If so the issue should have been noted and fixed before you picked it up. When you picked it up did you test everything?

We bought the RV new in November 2021. After reading so many shower complaints I wrongly assumed the situation was “normal”. Should have taken it to the Dealership for this but I could imagine a lot of damage being done without finding the problem. Just very happy to find it. Once found it would have been more trouble to tow it to the Dealership than to do it myself. This was a “factory installed” defect.

Sometimes it's easier to fix the issue than to get it fixed...

This is so true, if a warranty issue likely no cost, but if not with shops charging $100+an hour for labor, it could be very costly.

Our current shop rate -$175.00/hr.
Warranty labor rates and times are set by the factory, never enough time and low rates, hence the reason very few dealerships do much warranty work.

To address the comment, "Warranty at no cost"....
When the RV dealership is 50 miles away, or even if it's "just around the corner", at 10 MPG, considering the operating expenses for any vehicle, taking time off from work to deliver the trailer to the dealership, having to either "unpack the trailer" if you have valuable things that might go missing, dealing with the battery if you have the refrigerator stocked, risking damage to your trailer while at the dealership as they move it around the storage lot and back and forth to the service bay, then being without your RV while it's at the dealership for that "free warranty work" and then having to take off work again to go pick it up.....
Well, "free warranty work" ain't really free, when you consider the time, effort and cost to the owner, just to get it to the dealership for that "free repair"....
Then, consider the owner who buys "out of town" and doesn't have a "local dealership where they bought the trailer"... Just spending time on the phone trying to talk a local dealer into working on your trailer, going to "the back of their service center schedule" and dealing with "your trailer being their orphan".... Well, it doesn't take long to realize that "free ain't free".....
Granted, there are some repairs that can only be done by the dealership (or that should be done at the dealership)...
But believing that it's "free to take the trailer into the dealership to fix that loose molding or to tighten up the dripping cold water fitting under the vanity... That's, in most cases, a "very expensive freebie".....

And if you're somewhat handy most likely you will fix it better than the "free warranty", the 1st time, as they'll put it back exactly like it was to begin with so you'll probably be back again........& again........& again!

When I worked at a dealership that sold Tiffin and Grand Designs, both factories would pony up more $ if we could justify a different ( better) repair.

That would be great if all service departments would do that. But I'd guess most wouldn't take the time to look for a better way or bother doing the paperwork to get the extra $.
