Hello from the UK

Hello from the United Kingdom!

I’m not new to Keystones as I’ve had Outback toy hauler travel trailers for years, but I’ve just bought my first fifth wheel, a 2017 Keystone Alpine 3601RS (kids are grown up and doing their own thing most of the time now, so we don’t have to have a trailer to take dirt bikes to the race tracks)

It’ll take a while to ship the trailer home, but it’ll give me a bit of time to get my Ram Cummins Megacab ready

I wish I’d found this site sooner!

Yes, I bought it in Texas and shipping it to the UK, I did the same with my Ram as there isn’t much choice over here when buying American vehicles

Wow - looks like there are quite a few low bridge clearances in the UK.
This site came up when I googled "low bridge clearances england".

Will your Alpine be the biggest rig in the UK?

The height will be fine in the UK, although I will be raising the trailer slightly as my Ram is lifted, our bridges here on the main highways are minimum 16'6" then the smaller roads have each bridge marked..........I own a trucking company so am used to checking routes and heights etc.
It'll be when I take it to France/Holland/Germany that it will be close as they have a lot of 4.0 meter bridges on their main routes.

No, it definitely won't be the biggest here, as a lot of showmen haul huge trailers, but this Alpine will be massive on most campsites and will restrict where I can take it.

I was going to keep to 35' as my current Outback is 33' with the rear slide out, but we wanted a good living space and a big bedroom (has enough years of climbing up into the rear slide in the Outback lol) and when we saw this Alpine we loved the inside...........I didn't want a residential fridge as we boondock a lot, but I got this at a good price so the money I saved can go to extra batteries and solar
