2021 Passport 2500RK
Hi There
We are waiting on delivery of a new Passport 2500RK. Can anyone tell me what the bump out in the passthru is? Pulled the picture from a dealer ad.
Thx
Britt

If you're addressing the "overhead drop on the ceiling of the passthrough compartment" that's the base (bottom) of the bed frame storage box located under the mattress.

It's not present on the two that I found photos of the passthrough.
Here's the link to one of them: https://www.rvtrader.com/listing/202...0RK-5013239980
And a photo of the other:

Image OP posted is far too small for these old eyes. The image John posted looks like barnwood in the passthough of that camper for sale. What is that material that looks like barnwood? Vinyl?

It looks like a change was made by Keystone between the 2020 / early 2021 models and the ones that are coming now. The latest ones have a single "Slam Lock" in the middle of the passthru doors. These are the ones have that extra framing in the passthru in the original photo. The 2020 / early 2021 have 2 latches on bottom of the baggage doors (key plus the turn tab?) These models do not have the extra framing.
So looking for someone with a really new 2021 that might know?
Thx
Britt

What is the link to the photo you posted? It's WAY too small to see clearly and increasing the size makes it too blurry to visualize anything. If you have the URL for the photo, it may provide a better image than your original post.

Mine has the water pump located behind that wall protruding into the pass thru.

Sorry missed this before I responded to John. You mean they put the water pump directly under the bed? I feel a pressure tank in my future to prevent middle of the night flush/pump action! Does that panel open up easily for winterizing?
Thx
Britt

Actually it is under the wardrobe. Our bed is on a slide. I haven't tried to access it so not sure how difficult it is to get to it.

Britt,
That's an "interesting box" ... The photos I posted are also shown on that trailer. It's #6 and is the curbside of the passthrough with the switches for the stabilizer system. Just thinking out loud, but I wonder if that box was added to house the components for the optional solar system ??? I know a few people who have been complaining that their controller, inverter and wiring system for their solar power system was being damaged by the cargo in the passthrough.
Maybe that "interesting box" is Keystone's solution to enclose the solar electronics ?????

Might be a Christmas surprise then.
There is very little info available on the Keystone OTG System. There is a decal left of that box that says Solar Ready. That is where the pre-wired roof solar cables and the Romex electrical outlet wire loop, pass behind the wall . That is where the connections to the Solar controller/battery and the inverter are made. It would be great if that box was there to house the inverter, solar controller etc.
Thx
Britt
