New owner from Iowa

Can I leave the camper plugged in over the winter? Was concerned about the battery going dead and maybe being harmed by freezing weather. Thanks. Don,t really have a place to store the battery if I remove it.

I leave mine plugged in over the winter. In a few weeks I'll disconnect the battery for a bit to check water level in battery and fill if needed. Then, I'll rehook everything up and plug back in.

If you leave it plugged in all winter, I'd suggest a monthly (or more frequent) battery check. Even a trickle charger can cause a battery to "consume electrolyte"....

Alternatively, disconnect your battery, leave it on the trailer tongue and reconnect it, plug in the trailer and let it charge for a day or two on a monthly basis. If you do that, don't forget that the battery cutoff switch must be on for the battery to charge.

Only add distilled water, electrolyte does not evaporate.
