I just opened the box on the cover the dealer sold me to go with my Cougar 31SQB. Adco says it goes from 31'6" to 34'. They give plenty of warning to measure your actual trailer size (don't take the dealer's word for it). I did, and lo and behold, from spare tire to the front of the fairing that covers the gas tanks, it is almost 35'!!!!
(Who knew?). Normally, I believe the 31' designation would have been close, if it just included the trailer "box" iteself. But with the fairing (which has to be inside the cover) I guess the actual measuared length grew.
Since the dealer recommended and sold me this cover, they are willing to take it back and ship me the next larger one. What I am trying to find out is this: has anyone used an Adco cover on their 31SQB and if so, what size? The next size up goes all the way to 37', and I don't what the cover to be too big and floppy. I would rather avoid the hassle of shipping the shorter cover all the way back to Indiana from New Jersey.
Or, does anyone have experience with Adco covers in general? If so, how much room do they give you to play with. Would 34' be the absolute max length it would cover, or is there some wiggle room?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
