Cable slide issue

I have a 2016 Keystone Passport Ultra Lite Grand Touring 2810 BH. It has a cable slide system with the motor above the slide on the inside.
The slide seems to work fine when putting it out. When I retract it the motor pulses and the slide is jerky. Most times it quits 2-3 times during retraction.
If I wait a minute it will work again. Usually have to do this 2-3 times to get it all the way in.
Any ideas or solutions?

No expert here. The stopping could be the self resetting fuse tripping. I was told when I bought mine that it has one. It will by the battery I believe. Just a thought.
Hopefully someone with better knowledge chimes in.

Most jerking slides can be caused by the wear bar and the bottom of the slide needing to be cleaned, degreased, and lubed with a good product (zep 45 was my fix). There might be other good lubes but suggest avoiding wd40 types. Some slides have rollers underneath that stop rolling causing friction. Suggest checking the condition of the underside of the slide first and go from there.

Ive checked the battery and it is good. It does it when plugged in also.
I will check the rollers or glides on the bottom for lube/wear. Ill let you know what I find. Thanks for the info.

Agreed. Google" cable slide out jerking" or some variation, lots of info out there. The most common seems to be wrong lube on wear bar. Dealer replaced mine and added rollers, said my wear bar was worn out....I did not get to see it. There is a good roller install video floating around out there.

Another very real possibility is cables that are out of adjustment, either because the adjustment blocks on top, by the motor/gearbox/chain and sprocket area, have loosened up and have slack in them.....or, the cables have stretched enough over time to be out of adjustment. The BAL slide system operates on a "give and take" method and if they become out of adjustment for the reasons mentioned above, you can very easily get the same results as you are experiencing. If you do not have the maint adjustment instructions, you should download that from their site and familiarize yourself with exactly how this system works. Hope this helps. Here is the link to that instruction manual...... https://norcoind.com/bal/downloads/a...ice-manual.pdf

I had a similar problem with my Accuslide slideout, and lubed the wear bar with WD-40 Specialist Dry Lube with PTFE. I was going to use Zep 45 but couldn't find any locally on short notice. I had to jack the extended slideout up a good 4" to access the wear bar, and sprayed it from both sides, but it did the trick. It's a design flaw with the Accuslides which they fixed a year after my TT was made
