Rain gutter and awning track coming off

Just noticed that the rain gutter m/awning track is separating from the wall on our 2015 Cougar 21RBSWE. It is the 4-5 feet in the front. It has ripped open the caulk and I can see the sky through the opening. Is this something that I can repair myself? We are full-time traveling and have problems getting to a place where it can be fixed by professionals. Any advice?

Could be you have a leak and the screws have pulled out due to water damage. Best to get up there and check it out good. Hopefully you can just replace the butyl tape if needed and screw it back up tight. You may need to get some slightly longer larger screws. And once it's screwed back in caulk up the seams good.

You can also add a screw between the existing screws.

Remember, the walls are 2" thick, so if you get longer screws, don't go longer than about 1 7/8" or you're going to have some "unwelcome surprises on the inside of your trailer with little "pointy things" poking through !!!!!
