Cougar 24RKSWE mods

Did a few mods while waiting for summer.

1 - Progressive Industries EMS-HW30A. Modified the existing box to cover it.
2 - Marinco Detachable cord.
3 - Rain caps over entrance doors.

Also did these.

1 - Bighorn 3500# electric tongue jack. Waterproof. Hardwired.
2 - King jack antenna. Honestly didn't see much difference in reception.

Interesting. My 2012 Cougar 24RKSWE power cord is under the stove with the heater vent located in the panel below the stove. My power cord used to be shoved into a wood box screwed to the floor below the stove. I did like you did and put a marine twist lock on the outside. I think I'll need to put the EMS under the stove since there is plenty of room once I removed the cord storage box. Was your storage box below the sink? I use that entire area for storage. In one of your pics it looks like your breaker panel is below the stove where mine is below the drawers on the right hand side of the sink. I'm trying to find a place to put the EMS-HW30C.

Thanks,

Art

My cord came out at the floor to the right of the stove near the back wall as you can see in the photos. Surprised yours is different, Was your Cougar made in Oregon or Indiana? Don't know if it makes a difference.
I can take more pics if it helps.

Mine is configured a little different. My power cord is centered at the back of the trailer. My inlet cord storage box was under the stove. I removed the box when I installed the marine cord. I think I'll put the EMS box where I removed the storage box. The white panel in the 3rd pic covers the hole that was cut in the paneling for the cord inlet hatch. I put insulation back there and covered the hacked hole the factory put in for the power cord.
