Hello all. New here so sorry if this is not the correct place. My trailer came with an32" tv mounted but the mount does not tilt or come out far enough. I want to
Replace it with a new one but there are no studs in the center of the area where I would need to mount one. Can anyone help? Thanks

Do you mean threaded holes in the back of the tv or a place on the wall to mount a different bracket?

Best bet would be to glue a piece of plywood in behind the flimsy paneling and mount the articulating tv mount through to that.

Don't know your exact configuration but usually can be accessed by removing screws that hold adjacent cupboards or panels.

You can mount it where the old one was. That area is already reinforced to hold a mount. Camping World carries them and can be ordered. If you do a google for RV Tv Mounting Arm, you will get a lot of choices. There are better prices than CW out there.

Thanks chip. The only problem with the current one is that the base is mounted on the left side of the designated are and the center where I would like to put a new stand is not reinforced. If I could find a stand with mounting on the left and longer arm that would work

Chip's suggestion is a good one. I looked at pictures of the interior of your TT. It looks like you should be able to attach the swing arm at the side of the micro cabinet. May also have to reinforce that side. Good luck.

Jag2440. if you could post a picture of your current Tv location I think it would help us be more helpful. Usually where the Tv is located there is backing plate put there by the manufacturer for attaching the mount. It will hold the Tv and the bracket. Now, if you are wanting to move it to a totally different location, then you would either have to find a stud, or place a piece of ply wood across two studs and attach it to the outside of the trailer siding. You could then mount to that. Either way, if you look at a door attached to the wall you are wanting to attach to, you will get an idea of the thickness of the wall and you can choose an appropriate length screw.
