Herb

I have a 2008 3712 Raptor toy hauler and i have water running out of my ceiling lights. I talked to a rv Tech and he said it could be that the air conditioner is lose. He said that he has had a lot of rv's come in with a leaking lose air conditioner. I check the bolts inside the rv and they were really lose. When i took the cover off inside the rv one bolt fell out on the floor. If this is true then why don't the dealer and manufactor tell people about this. I pushed up on the ceiling ands i heard water moving arouind. I took the speaker out of the ceiling and water ran out and we had to put a trash can there to catch it. I will do a lot of thinking before i buy another keystone anything. We are full Time campers and not happy. What a way to start retirement.
Thanks a lot Keystone.

The bolts that hold the A/C are not supposed to be tight. They are only tight enough to seal the foam seal between the roof and the A/C. They should be checked periodically and snugged if needed. This is part of regular maintenance. Once that foam seal is flattened it should be replaced. This is what the RV tech should have told you.

I would pull the cover on the A/C unit on the roof and check your sealant. This maybe cracked and or have a hole in it that is leaking and letting the water in it.
I check my roof at least twice a year for cracked sealant around any openings in the roof. I purchase and use Dicor Self Level Sealant for these type of repairs.
This is my second 5er and I am extremely happy with this unit. I believe this has the same level of quality has my old unit had. Which was a Ameri-Camp 2006 Summit Ridge F270-RKS.
