Been awhile!! Help!

How'd all. Got all set for the first trip of the year, went over everything and powered up the camper. Everything was a go, fridge was turned on two days prior and was working fine. Wife went out early this am, yep not working. Been doing a few things all morning and think its the control board, won't run on pro either, no spark nothing. Unit is Dometic 2852 LBX two way, 2013 Keystone Laredo 240. Only thing is I`ve looked and can't find a match with two fuses.... Serial #24593764. Thanks and hope everyone is well in the times we live in. Flash Oh and the light in Fridge is on....

When you say "powered up" do you mean it's connected to shore power? Have you confirmed the battery voltage?

When troubleshooting, I always recommend "starting at step #1 every time"...

Skipping the basics and going straight to "the control board fuses aren't blown so it must be the control board" has "spent a lot of money on replacing good boards"...

First, confirm the 12VDC into the board, then confirm the 120VAC at the refrigerator plug. Then confirm the LPG is present (after being in storage for months, there's often an air bubble in the gas line. It works for a few minutes, then the bubble gets to the flame and it goes out, won't relight so the refrigerator goes into shut-down and won't restart. After checking the gas, then confirm the refrigerator eyebrow lights are appropriate, then move on to troubleshooting the rest of the system....

As much as we like to "blame the cheap factory control board" in reality, they are much more reliable than we give them credit for... I'd guess the control board failures are about 8th or 9th on the list of component failures....

Lots of things to check first before calling Dinosaur Electronics for a new board.

Hello JR!! Ok. So after checking the tanks and learning that both were running on empty a quick trip to town was called for. Put everything back together and the Fridge is running and waiting to see how it cools down in a few hours. Would running out of gas cause it to not work on electric?? I have`t tried to change it over to propane yet. Thank for getting back so quick!! Flash

No, running out of gas "shouldn't" cause it to go into a fault condition on electric, BUT: If you had it set to run on propane (pushed a button inadvertently switching it to propane) and it ran out, then it would not switch back to electric, so it would "fault out and shut down after 3 attempts to relight"....

So, there's still "hope that it will work".... Turn everything on the refrigerator off, let it sit for about 10-15 minutes, then turn it back on and see what happens. You should be able to feel the floor of the freezer getting "noticeably colder" in about an hour.

Thank you John!! Thats probably what had happened. Everything seems to be up and running fine right now. We're getting some much needed rain at the moment, will wait till tomorrow to try the propane to see if it kicks in. Again many thanks!!

JFYI- if the fridge is set to AUTO, it will choose AC if it is present, no matter what. If you unplug from shore power it should switch to LP as long as the cylinders are open and there is gas. Plugging back in, should cause the gas to shut off and revert to the heating element.
