UF Electric A-Frame Jack Model 3002
Hi folks, I've inherited the above that came along with our newly purchased 2010 Hornet RBS.
I thought it sounded 'troubled' on first use so looked for means to maintain and also manually bypass.
Bypass - Is supposedly done by using a 9/16th socket but as the picture shows - no way! I researched further but found no tool to fit this. Any ideas?
Maintenance - There should be a zerk fitting for grease but not on mine so I've dismantled to manually grease. The four screws on top are recessed and rust due to pooling water so I'll offer my first advice on this forum; when reassembling, coat screws in anti-seize then cover the recessed screw with a dab of grease. Also this unit is supposedly waterproof but it aint. That manual override plastic cap needs sealing better & I'm using liquid gasket on the reassembly of other parts.
Lastly, I'd much prefer a manual jack, who doesn't need the exercise?
