Avalanche Question

I went to pickup my 361tg yesterday, but there were some things that I pointed out that needed the dealers attention, one of which was the roof. On my Laredo, the roof is tight around the edges and sides. The Avalanche seems like it's not wrapped as tight, so I'm thinking about walking away from the deal. Has anyone had roof issues because of this? The tech tells me the sun will dry it out and it'll get tighter. Should I walk away?

Thanks.

I also climbed up on the other four avalanches they had on the lot, same thing, bubbling were corners come together at the top or slight bubbling running down the length of the unit where the top meets the side.....enough that I could squeeze between my fingers. Just don't know if this is the norm for a unit at this price point. I looked at other brands and I'm not seeing this.

Appreciate any input. Thanks.

Our Cougar is the same way. All of the RV's that I've seen that have the EPDM/TPO folded over the edge of the roof have had some "slack" in the membrane. The only ones that I've seen without the "slack" are those models that use a rounded edge molding made of aluminum to cover that part of the sidewall/roof union.

Honestly, I'd much rather have "a bit too much" than to "not quite have enough" when it comes to the roof overlapping the sidewalls.

Thanks John. Took a look at the Montana's tonight and those roofs overlap further and are much tighter, maybe because how far it overlaps in comparison to the Avalanche. Just weird to see noticeable slack in the roof.

Brought home the new 5'er last Saturday. Washed it as soon as we got home and now I'm getting to know it.

Nice rig. I believe that my floorplan on steroids.. It appears you are running a bit nose high. How much clearance do you have above bedrails?

And I got excited thinking this was going to be about an avalanche. Snow camping, steep mountains and all that.

It's right at 7.5 inches above the bed
