Cable Slide Mount pulled from Slide Structure

I was extending the kitchen slide and I hear a "CRACK". Where the lower cable mounts to the slide, it has broken the wood in the slide it is attacked to. I stopped immediately, the bracket is now at about a 45 degree angle just hanging on to some wood. I'm sure if I extended any further, it would pull out all the way. The slide has been moving in/out just fine, and yearly I clean the Darco and spray a dry lube on it. (I have been thinking about installing rollers for the slide to ride on.)
Anyone had this problem? I don't know what the repair will be, but I would think they have to take to slide apart to replace the wood.

I have the Good Sam Extended Service Plan, and this is what it says about coverage for Slides:
Slide Out Room Unit(s) - Coverage for the slide out room unit(s) includes but is not limited to the following: All mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components, including generator slide out. Excludes the following: Wooden or metal structure, slide-out room(s) weather seals, sealing boots, and awning fabric.

The wood structure is broken, but I can hope that "...but is not limited to..." comes into play. I called GS ESP and the guy thinks it might be covered, but I'm sure he doesn't have a clue. I can't get in to a repair shop for a couple weeks.

I had have a couple of cables replaced and the extended warranty covered that.
Definitely worth having the dealer file the claim. IMHO it is part of the mechanical portion of the slide mechanism.

We had the upper cable pulley bracket pull out of the wall on one side the 3rd time we opened the slide. The unit was under warranty so we brought to the dealer for repair. The dealer put in oversized bolts that pulled out of the wall after 2 or 3 cycles. I brought the unit back and also contacted the Keystone factory. The factory had the dealer add an oversized plate with extra screws; that has done the trick so far.

It had the upper cable pulley break away from the structure while the kitchen slide out was about 12 inches out. I’m a new rv user and don’t know if I should try to bring it in using the panel controls or other. Is there a manual way to bring it back in? Looking to take it in to be repaired.

To the OP: I am not trying to rain on your parade, but you need to go into this expecting the worst and hoping for the best. I see an uphill battle as far as the warranty goes (or even an insurance claim if you went that route). You have a what appears to be water damage to the wood that the bracket mounts to, and that wood is structural in nature. The difficulty is going to be finding the leak and then finding enough solid material to reattach the plate to.
