jacking up 3-axle 40' toy hauler

This may sound dumb, but how do you jack up a 5th wheel trailer to work on the brakes without putting all the weight on only one landing gear? Do I need to have the truck hitched to it with the landing gear retracted?

Also, I know you are not supposed to jack it up by the axles, but why not lift by the axle, on only one axle, on one side? I would lift it with my hydraulic jack using a custom made saddle to cradle the bottom of the axle...

Help!

Camping world has these little ramps designed to lift one tire off the ground high enough to change a tire on a dual axle. It requires you to leave it hitched to the truck, kind of a pain doing one tire at a time before having to move it, but you don't stress the landing gear or axles.
