Sewer Hose Extension?
So I saw a sewer hose gadget on another site and now I can't find it! It's a rigid pipe that attaches to the grey/black outlet on the trailer and the slinky hose attaches to the other end. The pipe is extendable so that it can reach from the RV/Trailer to the ground without having to prop up the hose. The ends are also able to rotate to any angle. It also had a fitting so you could attach a garden hose to flush it out after you were done. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Almost! The item in your pic is very similar but that would be on one end of a much longer pipe. The one I saw looked like it was 2-3 feet long but could extend to about 4 depending on how far away the ground was.

Why do you want it to go to the ground? S$&@ runs downhill. I wouldn’t want it tight and non flexible to the ground and if you moved around the trailer it could snap off
You want it to run from the trailer to the sewer drain with a slope down away from the trailer

The last time I was out camping I was in a spot that had an 8 inch curb around the sewer dump. In addition to that there was a rise in the ground from my trailer to the sewer. So my S$&@ wasn't running anywhere. I had to prop up my hose with logs and boxes to get a proper flow to the sewer. This device would allow me to overcome these obstacles. It could be adjusted so that the end would not rest on the ground and potentially break. If I had a proper pic of it that would explain alot.

Might sound overly simplified but why not a 45 or 90 degree extension and then a longer straight extension or extensions so that your hose would connect to the those extensions closer to the ground...most of the extensions are relatively cheap and would be able to be broke down and stored much easier.. tight seals and would accomplish the same thing to bring it lower to the ground
As a side note: I've have to think that a "sliding" type extension would be prone to leakage at the area where the two slip/slide pipes meet.. should the "drainage" ever back up... jmho

That's what I was thinking too! I was hoping to find the site again so that I could make a less sophisticated version of my own.

I have one of these clear 45deg elbows ( the 45 will spin on the hub to give you best angle) and the sewer hose expanding stands to take care of the angle. I must be missing something in your explanation..my hose runs from the rv,downhill,to the sewer drain at the campground..that has been my experience at every campground so far in the last year. I use the stands to set the “graduated descent angle” ( if that’s a thing) or the “fall” of the drain line. If you only encountered a uphill drain at one particular campground then I don’t think that is the norm.
If I misunderstood I apologize

If you consider the "fence post cover mod" and use a piece of "PVC gutter" as a drawer in the "fence post cover" you can use that PVC gutter as a "inclined ramp" for your sewer hose. All you need to do is put a bungee cord around the sewer hose and the PVC gutter near the trailer sewer outlet and lay the sewer hose in the gutter (pointed toward the campground sewer dump).
I found this to be much easier to use than the "folding sewer hose ramp" that everybody has laying in their passthrough but never seem to use after the first 2 or 3 times.
Here's some photos of what I do when I need to "ramp the sewer hose" which is only occasionally.
The first two are how I do it, the third is where I got the idea (his run is almost 25') and the last is the post cover with the PVC gutter in it, as a drawer.

As an aside, I have been looking for 3 days for parts to do the fence post/gutter thing, and I can't find the stuff anywhere! Ordering the parts through various retailers is going to be more expensive than buying a under-body tube mount that Camco makes, so I'm probably going to go that way instead. But man, having that gutter segment to support the poop-chute would be ideal. Guess I'll use my old, broken slinky instead.

Our previous trailer sat low to the ground. I got tired of “lifting and shaking the hose. I bought a macerate pump to connect to the outlet and 50’ of 3/4 garden hose (black). Not cheap but a great tool. When we bought this camper I kept the pump and wired an SAE 2 pole plug and wired it to the battery. Only had to use it twice on this camper but worth every dollar IMHO. You can even pump it into a toilet if necessary.

Almost every Home Depot I've been in has the fence post covers and caps in stock.
Try looking up these two parts at your local HD: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Veranda-...0700/202084745

John! You should market this contraption and get some income from it.

We've only been in a couple parks where the sewer drain was a bit too high for a normal sewer hose connection, and both times went to a local building supply to get a length or two of plastic gutter. When we left, just left the gutter parts at the site for the next camper. We only did this when we were staying for a week or longer, otherwise, just manipulated the hose each time when draining to get waste moved to the drain.

20 years ago, I bought a telescoping tube very similar to this and used it for a few trips. I eventually ended up throwing the entire thing away because it had a tendency to pick up sand and fine grit (via static charge) that would then jam the telescoping sections so hard I couldn't extend or collapse them. Lubing only made the problem worse.

Sorry to ask a somewhat off topic question, but with a Slunky, is it best to have a straight line to the sewer or curved as in the above pic posted before?

For the OP, I remember on a different forum, someone who posted what you are describing. It was a home-made invention, similar to the above post for the "Swing Free". Maybe his idea became the "Swing Free." I remember, it was permanently fixed to the sewer outlet, and it could swing out from under the trailer on an arm and be adjusted to any length. It was a novel idea that did not get good responses. I suppose it was an invention before its time.
Bottom line, it was a homemade device, not store bought (If this is the same one you are referring to).

If the distance between the caps is shorter than the hose, you have to throw in some curves to take up the slack. They don't offer any functional advantage.
