We never boondock but in my old 5ver I had wired in a 12 VDC cigarette lighter adapter into the bed pedestal and I have this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 it only pulls 90 watts. Haven't got around to putting one in the new 5ver yet.

Install a 12v outlet beside the bed wired to the battery with a fuse. Then get something like this https://cpapmyway.com/store/respiron...4aAkSMEALw_wcB

If you turn off the heater (can leave some water) you should have no problem for a night. We “boondock” at Walmart when traveling and I have no problem with one night of 12v cpap with my single 12 v battery.

You should install a 12v outlet since using an inverter to create 110v to the cpap power supply to create 12v wastes battery power.

Hi lloyd, I have 2-6volt batteries with a 12v cig lighter plug I installed by my bed and I always run my machine on the 12v even if we have hook ups. It's just more convenient. I haven't had any issues while boon docking. I just make sure the batteries get a good charge the next day.

I removed a dual USB port next to the bed and replaced it with a dual USB/12v socket. I use a ResMed S9 and a ResMed power supply that plugs in to the 12v socket. We have 2 Group 27 batteries and can power everything in the camper and the CPAP (without the humidifier) for 2-3 days before recharging. When we had a pop-up I would run my old RemStar Choice off a single 12v battery for 2-3 days easy.

Most CPAP’s use 12-24vdc power so it is incredibly inefficient to power one off an inverter. ResMed has a power supply that levels power and provides a steady and consistent pure sine wave power source. You may want to inquire with your manufacturer iif they have something similar.

In short, if you avoid an inverter, you can easily power a CPAP (without humidifier) for at least 1-2 days.

Added: I even ran my CPAP off a 12v jumpstarter booster pack for two days once.

We have installed a 750 W inverter in our 5er and it powers my ResMed CPAP just fine. The inverter is directly wired to the battery bank. 4-6V gc batteries. For simplicity sake my inverter is separate from the trailer power system

We have 2 6V golf cart batteries in out trailer. I installed a 12V outlet by the bed. Using the 12V cord is much more efficient than an inverter.

I don't use the heated humidifier or heated hose, have no problem running the CPAP all night, even with the furnace running.

I have 175W of solar that recharges the batteries during the day. If we have several cloudy days then I run a small portable generator to top off the batteries.
