Fuzion Cracked Frame 2nd Time - BUYER BEWARE!

You cant make this crap up!
We must be very lucky because we have had the opportunity to experience the Keystone cracked frame issue not once but twice. Keystone said they could repair it the 2nd time and I refused that so they offered to exchange our 2017 Fuzion 417 with a 2021 Fuzion 419.
Right away they sent over a non disclosure agreement and wanted us to "contribute" $15,000, plus pay the sales tax on the new trailer. The lady that is running point for the deal, Michelle Diaz is a real winner and refused to give me the price of the new trailer and also refused to tell me the value of my trailer.
I asked the question of what is being done different on the 2021 model that will prevent the frame cracking on it and 1 week later I got some generic response and another request to sign the non disclosure agreement.
The reason I asked is because I know of 2 people with 2021 Fuzion 419's with the same cracked frame issue within the first 6 months of ownership.
How can you keep selling the same product that is defective year after year?
The frames are supplied to Keystone by Lippert and both companies are aware of the issues but do not do anything to eliminate the problem.
Shame on you Keystone!!

IMHO trading up 4+ years for $15k doesn't sound like a bad deal in today's rv market?
As to the sales tax you should only be responsible for tax on the $15k difference, but you're in California so all bets are off.
Just FYI! NO ONE from Keystone is on this forum so shaming them here is falling on deaf ears.
Also Keystone is not the only rv manufacturer using Lippert frames so there's no guarantee that whatever brand you may purchase won't have the same frame issue.

Yes every big toy hauler and TT use the same frame. As far as I am concerned I shouldn't have to go out of pocket for anything. They have been having this problem for so long. I wish i new about it before I bought the trailer. I guess is hind sight was foresight we would all be millionaires right?

I think the pictures don't actually show the location on the trailer as they are pretty close-up. And please tell me what TSB stands for... I know Elvis used TCB but never heard TSB.

Got it. I will put some others up. It starts on the driver side by the slide out. TSB is Technical Service Bulletin.

Whoa, that is a huge trailer. Cracked frame is dangerous. I have to agree with SYCO, I don't believe he should have to pay anything either after what he had to shell out for this blatant mistake. That said I also don't think that is going to happen SYCO. Maybe negotiate them down to say $5,000. Do not like that they want a non disclosure. You could sell it right away but KNOWING that it will go bad and not saying anything to the potential buyer just seems wrong and bad.
This seems like the rock and the hard place.

To me if they gave you another 2017 fusion it would be a even trade. I’m sure the appliances and maybe iN·command is different in the 2021 models. Your also getting new suspension and tires for what it’s worth. I don’t think it’s a bad deal at all. If it were a car and they gave you the choice of what it’s worth vs giving you a 4 year newer car then you’d probably be happy getting a new car and paying the difference .I’m thinking the difference in depreciation on a 2017 is about $20000 so $15000 is pretty good and you get a new roof and frame warranty out of the deal..if you installed an inverter or solar you may be able to remove that and put in the new trailer
It’s like when your car is in an accident ,they don’t give you a new car , you they give you what yours was worth or rebuild it to exactly like it was with used parts if necessary..they are only requires to make it as good as it was including depreciation

Thanks for the new TSB Chuck. I have a feeling that even the new trailer will have problems down the road. They have done a good job keeping it quiet all these years.

Another potential weight problem and no mention of scaled weights. How can anyone make any sort of pro/con comments without weight documentations?

Very interesting, thanks for sharing. As for the 15k for the upgrade, I think I would go there. Tax should only be on the cash paid, not the value of the new unit.
I'd still be a bit pissy about having to spend more money. But I will end up with a new unit and get fair value for my broken rig.
