This beautiful old bridge spans the Susquehanna River from Columbia, PA to Wrightsville, PA.

I took this picture while on a Charleston Harbor Tour Boat. The bridge has a couple of names; I’ll use Cooper River Bridge. In the foreground is Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum. Its Icon is the aircraft carrier; USS Yorktown, a WWII carrier.

I saw this passing by it, turned around and went back into their parking lot. A small engraving business on Ford Ave. in Richmond Hills, Ga. I loved it.

Hey CW ( may I call you CW ?) I really enjoy threads like this one you started. The naval aviation one was equally enjoyable.
We’re you responsible for making training films in the military? I enjoy the narration that goes along with each set of pictures you post.
It has a calming and hypnotic pace to it
I always picture in my mind the 1950s era US travel films with the narration playing along behind the scenes

I was a certified Naval Instructor and did that on a shore assignment for 4 years. During that time I was a stand deliver classroom instructor, instructor supervisor and ended my tour as the division supervisor. So, yes I did a little of everything.

Well that explains your delivery to me....pretty cool and also I know it wasn’t a great example of films I chose but not a lot to choose from. I have a film in my memory that I can’t quite recall all of the details.
Anyway thanks for the response!

I watched that video and had laugh. Now my parents were no "June and Ward Clever" as my mother didn't own pearls and the only time my dad wore a suite was for a funeral or wedding.
My childhood recollection of long car trips was different that the video ..
1. at least one flat tire or one stop to refill the radiator (and yes, my dad did maintain the car very well).
2. The games played in the back seat were my 2 older sisters tormenting me so I'd yell and conversely get yelled at from the front seat.
3. Typically there was about the same amount of arguing going on up in the front seat as there were in the back seat.
4. The part where mamma was driving at night and get's out of the car to read the sign? Are you kidding? She wasn't getting behind the wheel as long as my father was breathing!
5. Stopping at a gas station was like a NASCAR pit stop. Everybody run to the bathroom and make it back before the old man pumped in 10 gal and he got those S & H green stamps in hand.
I think that family was the same one's from the "Duck and cover" movies. I think the A Bomb movies of the houses blowing up in the AZ desert finally took them out. Thanks for the memories!

Lol my childhood memories with car trips are
1.Windows rolled up except stepfathers window cracked a little
2. Stepfather chainsmokes benson and hedges gold 100’s
3. Three kids in back seat get car sick and develop 2 pack a day habit
I did notice that they had a checklist in the movie before starting out.
I need to make one up for my rig

Just missed ya. We were in site 267 on the end. There was a "Nor'Easter" when were were there. Ridiculous winds. My niece opened the door, our Brittany Spaniel got loose and what a time it was chasing him down. I think 1/2 the cg was chasing him. Finally corralled him under the bridge. I was ready to kill him.

I’ve driven by that place a hundred times and never given a second look. Until I got an rv .It really is a nice campground. Love how you have the ocean on one side, the bay and hiking paths on the other.
Nice little restaurant by the marina and just nice watching the boats come in and out of the inlet

Marshall, about $100 wortth of dog training will make a new dog out of that spaniel. No, I'm not kidding. It is one heck of a lot more enjoyable owning a dog that actually obeys. We have no use for a dog that does what it wants to, not what you want it to.

It does, there's one in Boston, MA that looks similar also.

What’s nice is there is a state park campground on both sides of the inlet.
You can get to each one by a bike path that goes over the bridge,it’s completely self contained behind a concrete barrier. We like to take a bike ride at night while the bridge is lit up over the inlet.
Makes for a nice end to the day

From our two week stay at Trenton we made numerous side trips up into northern Maine. This picture was taken, on a hazy day from atop Cadillac Mountain in the Acadia National Park.

One of the main attractions that can't be avoided at Antelope Island SP are the Bison. They are everywhere.
