I simply replaced all the exterior bulbs with LED bulbs. Quick, easy and inexpensive

This is what I did also. Got them from Amazon.

Most of the incandescent bulbs in the clearance/running lights are size 194. You can buy 50 LED replacements for $13 on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/T10-8-SMD-Whi...2C204&sr=8-110

They aren't the "best quality" but they also aren't $10 each.... I've been running this type of LED in my running lights for about 10 years now and never had a problem as long as they don't get wet and corrode in the socket from a leaking light lens.

If you use this type, be sure to apply some dielectric grease to the bulb contacts before installing them. That will cut down on corrosion and problems with dim lights. Remember, they are polarity sensitive, so if they don't work when you install them, just pull the LED out, turn it around and reinsert it.

Check out MP4.com.
My 5er had 2 taillights & 2 back up lights, I didn't need/want the back up lights so I ordered 4 LED tail/stop lights from them, you could definitely tell my intentions when those lit up.

I just replaced the two rear clearance lights because I lost a lens cover and could not find a replacement that fit the base. I cannot tell you the brand I bought because I just bought what the trailer shop had in stock.

It was similar to the eTrailer light in the link below. Red lens, 3 diode and 2 wires. Much brighter than the LED bulbs we used in the other clearance lights. Very happy with them.

Whatever LED you go with buy the bulb in the color of the lens. That will result in better results in reference to the output anmd color of the lights.

That's right. White LEDs will look white even through a red lens.
