Discount works for non-residents. Just left Fontainebleau and have reservations for next year in 2 other parks. Not a LA resident.
Fine print, reservations MUST be made before Dec 31, 2020 for it to be valid, but for instance an April 2021 stay we scheduled came through as 50% off.

Louisiana offers a senior citizen discount to non-residents IF your home state offers one to non-residents. Texas does not.

The pass is not just for national parks. It works for US Army Corps of Engineers parks as well. We like COE parks. I can actually get our 5th wheel into many of their sites.

The "fine print" on that 50% off NPS camping does not include any of the "contractor managed campgrounds"... Places like Fishing Bridge Campground in Yellowstone are not included in the NPS discounted camping..... The discount only applies to "NPS managed campgrounds" which are usually the "rustic" or "limited hookup" type campgrounds....
COE campgrounds are usually a "cut above" the NPS facilities and some even have full hookup camping, most at 50% off.

Not pertinent to this offer which uses a Reserve America discount code. What you refer to is they won’t honor a Interagency (geezer) card if the campers home state doesn’t. Which last I checked left something like Tennessee it works for.

Thanks for clarifying that. That was the appoint I wanted to make, it may not apply to everyone (But a great deal when it does.)

Following up, I contacted the Louisiana State Park folks and just received an email confirming that the 62PLUS discount is available to anyone over 62 regardless of their state of residency.
So, y'all come down and pass a good time here. There is a lot to see in Louisiana. I've been to several of the state parks and they are very nice--North Toledo Bend, Poverty Point, Lake Bistineau, and Chicot State Park, are all places we've camped and been very pleased.
