RV manufacturers do the same thing. (It's just something to think about).

On the other hand ... hey ... who says you actually have to "rough it" when you go camping? Soft bed, televisions, heat, water, stove, refrigerators, showers, you name it ... I don't think any of us sleep under our horse on the bare ground any more, eat wild berries, and drink water from a near by creek, now? Do we?

After reading Guadguy’s post again, his issue is about running the electric recliners on his theater seats, when not on shore power. It wasn’t about heated massage seats with blue lights. It helps to stay on track.

Thanks for the prompt welcome and answer. I believe you, but it still doesn’t make sense to me to limit the operation of the seats to 110v only. If that made sense for the seats, seems like the same logic would apply to the operation of the slide.

"Glamping" is a thing...

However, all those extra amenities like electric recliners, TV sets, ice makers, washers and dryers, are intended for people who are staying long-term (OR short) in a location which has Shore power. They were never intended for boondocking. The power requirements are too great to put on a single (or dual) battery.
If you want to be able to use those luxuries while boondocking, you're going to need a generator, or run on solar power with an inverter.

Most of the electric recliners from a regular furniture store are made for a battery pack option. These packs are made for places on your home where there is no electric outlet close by. These packs are available in 18 and 25.5 volt models. Amazon even has them. Check “reclining furniture battery pack” for more info.
