Good, bad, or ugly?
Seriously thinking about downsizing a bit.
Opinion on the hitch voiding Lippert frame warranty?

I've seen videos on it. Looks like a unique and interesting approach. But your signature says you have a Goosebox? Why thinking about switching?

IIRC Curt was bought by Lippert, so it may not void the frame warranty. I’ve seen 1 and the customer loves it.

Yeah I see the Lippert logo on the Curt website and that sorta jogged my memory that maybe Lippert did buy Curt.

I’m wanting to downsize fifth wheels. Tired of dragging around 40ft of trailer that weighs 18,000 pounds. Looking at a Cougar 2700 bunkhouse.
It’s Texas…too hot to do much outside. We hibernate in the summer.
Like the song…too hot to fish, too hot for golf…
So I’m vegetating inside after mowing the lawn.

I have the Crosswing, towing my 23MLE. I think it's great. Very easy hitch and unhitch, no high hitching and don't need to do tug test. Way, way less chucking. At 65 pounds, easy to install.

Thanks. I am a bit concerned about how much slack is in the hitch to create slamming.

By slamming do you mean chucking while towing, or having to slam into while hitching to lock jaws atound kingpin. For me very little chucking while driving. As far as hitching, backup slow until the kingpin adapter touches the hitch, then just lower camper into hitch. Very easy. Oh I forgot to mention it does not void warenty since Lippert owns Curt.

I am new to fifth wheels and I haven't used anything else. Our hitch installer said it was a good choice for our setup and it has worked great. Very easy to use.
