07 Keystone Challenger RLS NO WATER WHEN CONNECTED TO CITY CONNECTION

I could really use some help. About a month ago our water stopped running from all taps in the RV. However I sanitized and filled the fresh water tank and with the pump I have running water. I have looked everywhere for everything I could think to keep it from running and am at a loss! Please help? I am a single travel nurse and please believe me cold showers after 8 hours of my job really suck.

Sorry you are having issues. First, year, make and model of the camper. Next, you say about a month ago your water stopped running from taps. Were you connected to city water or using the fresh water tank? Not sure what sanitizing the fresh water tank detail means. Now you want to keep the water from running? Why? The cold water means you water heater isn't heating the water. You could have the bypass for the water heater in the wrong position. If the tank is dry, perhaps heating elements (if you are using electric to heat the water) are burned.

Perhaps it is time to call in a mobile RV tech to help with the problem unless you can provide enough detail so that the folks on the forum can sort it out. Good luck.

Dupe post. If connected to city water and there is no water, there is a little nub in the middle of the fitting where your hose is connected. It is spring loaded. Remove the hose and see if you can push the nub in and see if it will come back out using the pressure of the spring. I have a poor picture of the nub...

Hi there. I was previously using city water hookup. It stopped working, so now I am filling the fresh water tank and using the pump for dishes showers etc

Hi I have a 2007 Keystone Challenger RLS. The hot water heater still works, I'm sure. Sorry about the vague posts, this is my first RV and I'm very frustrated.

If your water heater works, why are you taking cold showers?

The entire water system is the same except for a few inches between the city water connection and the water pump. Water source makes no difference. Cold water flows into the water heater and hot water is supposed to come out.

Anyway, as George pointed out, there is a oneway fitting on the city water inlet (cheap plastic) and they can/do fail. I would check that.

As I said in another post - first time RV owner so I wasn't sure if my water issue would effect the water heater so I bypassed it just in case. Guess I get to feel like a dumbass today.

Don’t be so rough on yourself. Any person with RV knowledge wasn’t born with it, they learned it by trial and error and/or by making mistakes.
