I recently switched from SRW to DRW due to being at the rear axle weight limit on the SRW. I don't think that you'll find many with DRW unless they tow fairly heavy trailers.

SRW. I don't think I would go duelly unless I had to. I use my 350 as my daily driver.

SRW here. Obviously if the weight of the trailer required it I would go with a DRW but I don't intend to get that big.

I'm one of those.... But would go 350 if buying a heavier trailer than we have now.

Dually.... I tried the SWR's and was disappointed, as long as I tow a 5'er it will be with a dually.. and YES it is my daily driver.. in fact we pretty much take it anywhere we go, even to the grocery.

The SRW will fit in my garage and it tows the 38 foot, 12K fiver with no swing or sway. It is an F250 but it's just about to be legally reregistered with an F350 GVW, 11,200 pounds, being the only difference between the two trucks is a piece of paper with a fictitious number.

ditto. I've never had a problem parking either, fits perfectly between the lines in every parking lot I've ever been in.

DRW, can't beat the stability. I was undertrucked once with a 2500. That won't happen again.

I have a 1986 F350, DRW, I have a 1990 11.5' slide in camper with 3 jacks. When loading I remove the outside rear wheels due to the middle jack stand is in the way. I have driven it without the outside wheels and the sway is very noticeable. Put the outside wheels back on, the truck feels rock solid. When taking the camper off or putting it on it feels like I'm setting a mouse trap. I currently pull a 36.5ft 3155 Montana with a 2014 ram 3500, drw and 6.7 diesel. I personally wouldn't pull or haul anything that is top heavy without drw. I believe most people pulling with srw have never tried a dually, try it you'll like it.

SRW 2500 Gasser. However I did put bags in it, and I run 10 ply tires with 80PSI. Truck is very solid. That being said, I haver never driven a DRW bit I assume it would be even better.
Diesel would obviously be nicer too, but I did not buy one given how much we would actually pull the trailer. From what I've heard, it can be detrimental to those diesels if they aren't actually "worked". For the 10-15 times we go out a year the gas just makes more sense
(Plus in Canada, when it gets really cold the Diesel can take 10-20 minutes to warm up if not kept in a garage)

Well, not totally correct. For those folks who live east of Beautiful BC where the sun always shines and the "livin is easy" -- wet but easy --this might be true. Canada isn't all ice, snow with sub zero temperatures all winter long so in some parts, Alberta for example, you would have to warm up the diesel or plug it in.

SRW. I'm close to payload capacity but it feels pretty stable. The previous Class C dually felt a lot more squirrelly than the 5th. But that was 25 years ago and I can't remember what I had for breakfast today. The old cabover on the light duty F250 was pure mush.

Hard to find a late model F-350 or 450 down here that's not in use. All the farmers...hot shot-er's and contractors use them daily and beat them up in 3 or 4 years. None of the local dealers can keep the dually's in stock. At 67 yrs old I hate to buy one and have it for a daily driver.
